Back-hug scene of IU and Lee Hyun Woo gets cut from ‘You and I’ MV

IU and Lee Hyun Woo who acted as a couple for IU’s “You and I” MV filmed a back-hug scene to help the two look more natural as a couple, however the scene was cut out completely because the two reportedly looked awkward and uncomfortable.

The agency reported, “The scene was supposed to be used as an afterimage that could be seen as IU looked out from a train window, but the two looked obviously embarrassed and awkward that we had to cut it from the MV.”



Various photographs including one from the scene that was cut were shared via IU’s official homepage under ‘Staff Diary’ as a way to thank their fans for their loyal support, and the photographs themselves received positive responses.



In one of the still cuts, Lee Hyun Woo cannot hold back a wry smile as he bashfully has his arms around IU, who is so embarrassed she doesn’t know what to do with her arms. There were other cuts that revealed IU getting her makeup done, and more.

Fans who saw the photos left comments such as, “Even I feel embarrassed and awkward just looking at these photos“, “I feel like I want to laugh, instead of being jealous,” and more.

IU who has achieved an all-kill with her second full-length album will be performing her comeback stage on KBS2 Music Bank on December 2nd.
