Dumbfoundead releases track “Charlie Sheen” with Traphik & Jin

With the American actor Charlie Sheen’s recent drug scandal dominating headlines and swallowing up tabloids as of late, it was only a matter of time until the controversial celebrity figure got a rap song dedicated to his highly publicized downfall.

Three of the hottest Asian American rappers of today, Dumfoundead, Traphik (aka Timothy DeLaGhetto) and Jin got together and collaborated on the epic (and aptly titled) track, Charlie Sheen. Unsurprisingly, the trio delivers with a comedic style and dope lyrics sprinkled with punchline references like “winning” and “tiger blood.”

The music video was directed by Kevin Boston; check it out below!

Although recently crowned as American television’s highest paid actor with a payroll exceeding $2 million per episode on Two and a Half Men, Sheen’s escalating drug and personal problems got himself sacked from the show earlier this month. Since his downfall, the celebrity has given a number of bizarre and controversial interviews and also opened a Twitter account (accumulating over one million followers in just over twenty four hours, breaking the world record).

Behind the scenes:

Produced by Tatsuro Mille for GlobalCityMusic, Charlie Sheen will be released on iTunes starting next week.

C-ute speaks their mind about their newly released single, “Kiss Me Aishiteru”

Idol group C-ute released their new single, “Kiss Me Aishiteru“, on February 23rd. The track features more mature lyrics and a club sound that breaks ground for the group. According to leader Yajima Maimi (19), the group strove to express their “sex appeal” in their vocals.

The danceable, high-intensity track is C-ute’s 15th single, and it puts them in new territory. The song deals with the anxiety a woman feels when she senses that love is almost over.

The strongest vocalist in the group, Suzuki Airi (16), says recording the song was a process of trial-and-error, since, “For any musical phrase, there is a different way to convey it. The ‘I love you’ lyric at the end was the toughest part, since you have to put so much emotion into those short words. We had to record it over and over again to get it right.”

In singing about a girl who falls so dangerously in love, Yajima says she can sympathize with the protagonist: “To be so excessively in love, so much that you reach the point of insecurity… I think that kind of love would be wonderful.”

The PV for this song has quickly achieved popularity on online video sites, with YouTube views having surpassed 870,000 at the time of this article. In the year going forward, Suzuki says she wants to show the world a new, more adult C-ute. “It’s great that so many people have watched our video already, but we want to reach out to even more people, and hopefully we have a chance to perform overseas.”

“Kiss Me Aishiteru” is being released on the Zetima label. First-run limited edition recordings in three versions (A, B, and standard) will contain serial numbers for drawings with a DVD and event ticket prizes. C-ute’s new album, “Cho WONDERFUL?“, goes on sale next month on the 23rd, and their spring tour kicks off April 30th at Nakano Sun Plaza.

[Spoiler: Dream High] IU tiptoes to give Wooyoung a…

Fans of KBS’s “Dream High” felt their hearts flutter at the ultra-cute kiss scene between ‘Pilsook’ (IU) and ‘Jason’ (Wooyoung)!

The February 22nd episode saw Jason provide an opportunity for Pil Sook to appear on broadcast. On their way home, Jason suggested that she delete the photos of her former chubby self, to which she replied, “Those were my happiest days.”

He responded, “Well, there is one other person who loved those days as well.” Jason took out his cell phone and flashed a photo of her from when she was 82kg to prove his point.

Touched, the two exchanged intense gazes before Pil Sook closed her eyes, expecting a kiss. Feeling playful, Jason decided to stretch out and give her stuffed animal a kiss instead. He teased, “Why are you closing your eyes? Did you expect something?“ Pil Sook gloomily retorted, “I didn’t expect anything!”

Jason then gave her a light peck on the forehead, which inspired Pil Sook to wrap her arms around his neck and tiptoeing, pull him down for a kiss.

Netizens commented, “Not showing the actual kiss scene was a lot more romantic,” “I want IU’s tip-toe kiss too!”, and “The hearts of her uncle fans have been demolished!”
